Madoda Tiwana began his career in 2000 within the retail industry both as Administrator and Sales Consultant where he had an exceptional performance and as a result, in 2001 he was promoted to a position of being an Assistant Manager. Madoda Tiwana is qualified in Business Entrepreneurship and Management, Finance and Wealth Management through PSG Konsult, University of Stellenbosch and Business School and Joseph Business School Africa. It was not long before in October 2002 he was promoted to a position of a Branch Manager after the then Branch Manager left the company. It was at this time when he was appointed to this position, company was running at a loss but, using his business skills he managed to turn things around within a period of six months in the helm. In 2006 he joined Standard Bank Financial Consultancy division where he worked as Financial Planner. His duties involved prospecting for new business opportunities in the market and explore business expansion opportunities with existing clients, Analyze and assess client’s current and future needs through financial needs analysis, estate planning, Investment planning, preparation of statistics, apply product and service knowledge to meet market needs etc. In 2008 he was awarded Standard Executors and Trustees for his excellent work. The following year he became the first black African within Standard Bank Financial Consultancy to be awarded for achieving the “Highest case count for second year service Financial Planners”. He served in this position until October 2012. In 2010 he founded an IT company called Tee’s Technology with his partner also his wife. The company started with four employees. The company later on changed to Tee's Technologies and he serve as a non active Director for the company. Tee's Technology is still running working state own enterprises. In November 2012 he moved to a position of Business Manager within Standard Bank group. His key responsibilities included just to name the few, formulate and implement sales strategy and action plans for the provincial business acquisition teams (personal solutions expert, focus, new business managers and account analyst, Research and analyze the local market to understand key business drivers, influences and competitor activity, identify strengths and weaknesses in the business acquisitions unit and ensure that suitable tactics are implemented to address concerns and maximize strengths, identify performance gaps and institute remedial action plans, build up a sufficient network with product and segment owners to support and establish a primary point of contact for all new business (non SBSA customers), Support the provincial business banking team in ensuring effective implementation and understanding of the business banking customer value propositions, actively to provide support, insights and to accordingly align the activities of the new business team and Ensure effective leveraging of business banking relationships across the province to deliver personal market sales etc. In 2013, he was nominated as the Top Acquisition Manager for new franchise business in the Western Cape. He resigned from the Standard Bank in mid-2014 to pursue other business opportunities. In 2014 he got the business opportunity and was approached by Discovery to start his Discovery practice/franchise in the area of Financial Planning focusing on mainly, tax planning, retirement planning, estate planning, Investment planning and health etc. In 2016 Mr Tiwana founded an investment company called, MTIWA Investment Holdings (PTY) Ltd where he currently serves as a Director. The company has a sister company called Capernaum Business Hub. The core purpose for Capernaum Business Hub is to provide business lending for big projects with huge potential, funding for small and medium businesses, to turn the informal businesses into formal businesses. To turn the fortunes of many small businesses into reality, businesses that were thought to be irrelevant. To birth, nurture great successful businesses through our provided guidance and support.
